WHAT HAPPENS

 

        What happens,

When u hurt break a heart?

When u begin to,

      Drift,

So dreadfully apart?

When u r regretfully cut apart?

 

What happens,

     When u hurt a fly?

Dent its wings,

     Shatter its dreams?

What happens when you fail to fly?

When ur heart cant beat?

   When wings are wide shut?

When that first cut,

       Is too deep?

What happens?

 

What happens when,

         When u cant let bygones be bygones

             Or marathons be marathons?

                What happens when,

          At your own table

  They crown u with a crown of thorns

  And when you r hungry,

      They feed you with a golden apple,

  What happens?

 

            What happens when he roughly saps his own daughter?

   When he rapes his own order

And when he silences her mother’s laughter

       When she cries in the midst,

        of cold night?

Her pillow her only friend in sight?

 

What happens when she kills?

When she cuts the branch of life?

       And it wilts...

When her unborn child becomes reason for her strife?

     Her wits end...

What happens when she cuts it all off?

        Her torch of life suddenly cut off

    Fuses of the child’s life all blown off
