SOLITUDE
In the valley there
Where no man weeps there
In that dark valley there
Where all life is stripped thread-bare
Where weeds choke without a said care
In that valley there,
I have stumbled upon a distant flare
A flame of fortune-fare
An instant care,
A new life where I begin to pray
A new place where not even eagles dare
A new life that’s here to stay
A full light that shadows doubt
A new sun that shimmers bright…
In that valley there,
In that valley where,
Where no man sleeps there
In that dark room
Away from the supersonic boom
To sweep clean I’ve found a new broom
To see light I used the moon
To disfigure pain I etched hope
To fight dread I said scratched skin
In that valley there
In that place where,
I’ve found some soothing care
In the mountains where
The river runs too deep
In the trees there
Where memories are yours to keep
In that valley there,
In that valley where,
I have found all my peace…
