SILENT SCREAMS
My friend, look down
Look no further
For your shadow peeks at you
It speaks to you about your broken feather
Silent as it is
It seeks to seep
To dig deep
And weep with you
Silent scream
Voices that dream and dream
Burdened mother on earth’s gruesome whim
Choices that whip and spin
This is the journey begun
This is the voiceless scream
Silent scream
This is the cream
Cream of all hope found and lost
A forest burnt once and lost
A river that weeps with no tears
A stream that screams with no voice
My friend, look down
For your shadow speaks with you
It pleads with you
Silent as it is
It reeks to win
To dig deep
And weep with you
For the time of the bird is now gone
For all hope is now gruesomely torn
Torn away from our grasp
Thrown away by winds that erode very sharp
And the sky remains empty
Null and void
And the truth can never be told
For the bold bird left long ago
The truth cannot be set free
And my eyes are blinded,
They cannot see
Cannot see that we are now bees,
Working for honey we must not taste
Searching for a sky that is now lost to fate
And yet we shout at the top of our voices
But all they hear are our silent screams
