Between mouth and eye

The full neck and tie

Mouth and full lip

The head and brain,

The pain rumbles in the brain

Rumble in the jungle

Lost to the elements of my mistakes

The error of my ways

The packets of sadness and giving up

I cannot run that mile now

Not now,

The pain is etched too deep

Not now,

Skin and bone in me begins to melt

The sun of life wilts

The trenches run me aground

Forces of pain hurl me down

And ground and sky fall on me

Slowly my road begins to dip

Rhyme and reason cannot interlock

The gates are locked tight

Not now,

For I drown in my own breath now

Death begins to call me

The life force waves a slow goodbye

The pain killer is killing me
